what does turning 23 means to you?

for me, i guess it all boils down to this.

taking care of yourself ( both inside and out), becoming a lady, making wiser decisions, and last but not least, loving yourself for who you are. don't ever others judgments or criticisms bring you down, even though its hard, cos at the end of the day, you know that you are special in your own way.

i always like to believe that

the world is your oyster and also that you are only young once.

so take control of your life and make the most of out it. :D

my first ever music festival- Hard Rock Calling!!!

who would have thought that i would see neil young and bruce springsteen in real life? :D

well it all started when Oasis was playing in cardiff millenium stadium few weeks back and so happen that jon n i were in the city.. and the touters were selling us tickets! after much deliberation, we decided not to go in the end...BUT BUT BUT, we went for hard rock calling in hyde park london. :)

first ever music festival i attended. and it was awesome. neil young rocked the last act on saturday night ( started off with " hey hey, my my ( into the black ) " and everyone just went crazy!!! and his "rocking in the free world" was superb. i jumped and danced and screamed like a star-strucked fan. :P omg. neil young i love you !!!!! and paul mccartney made a surprise encore with neil young! a beatle in real life. i teared when i saw him. :D

and bruce springsteen on sunday night? needless to say, he was great. he looked so rugged despite his age ( 60 now) sigh...and he was like 5 feet in front of me. :D me and jon squeezed our way through and managed to stand at around 7 row from the stage! swoons.

love love love...my only regret was, he did not play my favourite song, thunder road. but jungleland and born to run was greaaattttt....

brucie came in front of our spot. spot him just 2 metres away from us. :D and he gave his saxophone to one of the guys in front. how i wish i was him.

summer 2009

summer 2009 is here!!! woo hoo..

just moved out of my flat few days ago. :(

packing and cleaning was done in 2 days! :D thanks for the great help dear...

my moving guy made the moving of boxes so much easier this time...was having this small talk in the van with him and suddenly it just hit me...i won't be going back to the flat that i called home for the past 9 months anymore. all the memories in mendip, be that good or bad, will always be a part of me.

like they said, all good things must come to an end.

and my time in mendip has end alas.

bring on another year of adventure i say.

so what next? gap year? work? odd jobs? hmmm...

will fill you in when the time has come.

sun-bathing with the dutchies

i decided to follow the ang mohs and get some tan// the weather was just oh- so good.. i really miss the sun..:D

there was this guy who was carrying a radio all around the campus, and i think it was playing michael buble.. haha..

sun-shine, gladiators, thinner clothing, sun-block, pretty flowers, shades...what's not to like about summer?

the girly post.

i am gona talk about really girly stuff today. cos i'm feeling very vain. :D

a girl's gotta do what she's gotta do.

1. skincare- face ( do not ever skip the basic steps i.e cleanse , tone, moisturize) I think i started my skincare routine since my teenage years. but i've started to add more stuff into my regime in the recent years. ( eye-cream, moisturizer with SPF, mask ) do not be lazy cos after all it's your face. and first impression is very important.

2. basic grooming ( haha i am so guilty of this that i should be ashamed of myself)
as i get older, i started spending more time in front of the mirror.
excessive facial hair, bushy eye-brows, you name it, take it all off... Less is more.

3. Make-up. (my another sin)
Invest in a good product. try bare-minerals. ( i just got my starter kit today!!!) it comes in a box of few different products. i've used MAC liquid foundation and MAC concealer for the past few months ( not often, only when i'm in the mood) and i found the concealer was the cause of my nightmare. UGLY BREAKOUTS. therefore, please choose wisely when you get your concealer ya girls...

Just remember, being vain is sometimes a good thing. you need to look presentable at the very least.

Having said that, despite your imperfections, you are still beautiful. :)
